VOLLEYBALL FALLS TO CITRUS IN THREE
SANTA MARIA-- The Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team fell to another Western State Conference Southern Division opponent Friday, as visiting Citrus College swept the Bulldogs, 3-0.
Hancock (4-4) will not open Western State Conference Northern Division play until Oct. 18, when the Bulldogs visit Cuesta. The game scores were 30-28, 30-21 and 30-14. The loss marked AHC's third straight defeat by sweep since winning the Monterey Peninsula three-way on Sept. 24.
For the Bulldogs, sophomore Jessica Quandt posted a team-high 28 digs, sophomore Geraldine Misaalefua led the team in kills with 12, sophomore Christina Saenz had four blocks and sophomore Allison Patton served for three aces.
The Bulldogs continue WSC cross-over play in a 7 p.m. start at Glendale on Tuesday.
