BAKERSFIELD ENDS AHC VOLLEYBALL STREAK
BAKERSFIELD-- The visiting Allan Hancock College women's volleyball team fell to Bakersfield, 3-0 on Friday, ending the Bulldogs' three-match win streak.
For Hancock (4-2), the loss ended a run of three consecutive wins, including the championship of the Monterey Peninsula three-way tournament on Sept. 24. It was also the first of two matches to be played against the Renegades this season, as Bakersfield returns the contest Oct. 14.
The match scores were 30-27, 30-26 and 30-24. Geraldine Misaalefua led the Bulldogs with 13 kills, while Alyssa Giorgi and Allison Patton added five each. Christine Saenz had 10 blocks for AHC and Patton added five.
Bulldog libero Brittini Fink finished with a team-high 30 digs and served two aces. Setter Jessica Quant passed for 26 assists. AHC returns to action on Tuesday at Santa Monica College in a 7:00 p.m. start.
