NEXT LEVEL: Noemi Bravo Guzman to Join San Jose State Roster
SAN JOSE, Calif. - Allan Hancock College women's swimming standout, Noemi Bravo Guzman, will continue her academic and athletic career at San Jose State University next season.
"I chose San Jose because of their strong STEM courses. The Bay Area is already the forefront for environmental science research, so there will be many opportunities for growth up there," Bravo Guzman shared. "I also really love the school's culture. Everyone that I met on my visit was super friendly and made me feel very welcome."
The Santa Maria native leaves behind a legacy that has included three 3C2A individual titles, four Western State Conference individual titles, and 10 All-American awards through her two-year career at the junior college level. Bravo Guzman also exits as the school record holder in 11 individual events and two relay races.
"Being at AHC helped me explore degree options while also helping me develop skills for my upper division courses," Bravo Guzman added. "The athletics department made sure that I was on track and had what I needed to succeed, even during my rougher moments, which allowed me to excel in my classes and in swim."
The Spartans are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Mountain West Conference.
