MEN'S SOCCER BOOTS OXNARD, 7-3
OXNARD-- Coach Al Garcia's Allan Hancock College men's soccer team got back on the winning track in a big way Friday, posting a 7-3 Western State Conference win at Oxnard.
Hancock (7-7-3, 5-6-2 WSC), which had lost three of is past four, broke a two-match skid with win. The Bulldogs also posted their best offensive performance of the season, eclipsing a six-goal performance against Canada College at the Hartnell Tournament back on August 30.
Angelo Avevalos led the Bulldog scoring barrage with two goals, while Mauricio Miranda and Guillermo Chavez each scored a goal and were credited with two assists.
Down to their final three matches, the Bulldogs will play at Glendale on Tuesday (Nov. 4) and at Citrus next Friday (Nov. 7) before closing out at home versus Taft on Monday, Nov. 10.
