MEN'S SOCCER EDGED AT MOORPARK, 1-0

MOORPARK-- The Allan Hancock College men's soccer team turned in a valiant effort, but was unable to convert its scoring chances in a frustrating 1-0 Western State Conference loss at Moorpark on Friday.

Hancock (6-7-3, 4-6-2 WSC) played the final 35 minutes of the contest a man down following a red-card ejection. Still, the Bulldogs did not allow a goal from that point forward, due in large part to the outstanding goal keeping of Francisco Hernandez.

Moorpark put the game's lone goal on the board midway through the first half.

Following a scheduled bye on Tuesday, the two-time defending WSC-champion Bulldogs will continue conference play at Oxnard next Friday.
