NEXT LEVEL: Daron Lewis Jr. Signs with Henderson State
ARKADELPHIA, Ark. - Allan Hancock College football defensive end, Daron Lewis Jr., will continue his academic and athletic career at Henderson State University next season.
"I chose Henderson State because they were a team that showed a lot of interest in me from the start of my recruiting process. When I took my visit, it just felt like home and somewhere that I could thrive, not only in football by throughout all aspects of life for the next two years," Lewis shared.
The Michigan native completed his second of two seasons on the field for the Bulldogs this fall. As a sophomore, Lewis collected 22 tackles and 1.5 sacks through 10 appearances. He also recorded 29 tackles and 4.0 sacks as a freshman.
"My time at AHC challenged me in many aspects of my life, but in a positive way - especially coming to back to play at 23 years old after a few years off," Lewis added. "Coach Bubba, Coach Aguilar, and the rest of the staff helped me push myself. They helped me figure out when I still have more left in the tank, even when I didn't think I did, especially after our conditioning work."
The Reddies are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the Great American Conference.
