FOOTBALL DEFEATS L.A. SOUTHWEST IN SHOOTOUT
GARDENA-- The Allan Hancock College football team ended the 2007 regular season with a 42-33 win over L.A. Southwest in a Western State Conference Mountain Division game played at Serra High School.
Hancock (6-4, 5-2 WSC Mtn.) had three running backs rush for over 100 yards as they compiled a total of 433 yards. Terrell Denson rushed for 149 and scored three touchdowns, most of his yards coming in the second half. Andre Cirino added 124 and freshman Diondrea Bryant had his best game as a Bulldog with 121 yards and two TD's.
Quarterback Casey Cathcart only threw the ball eight times, but completed half for 73 yards and a touchdown pass to tight end Kyle Pollack.
William Roundtree led all AHC defenders with seven tackles, followed by David Wolfe with five.
The Bulldogs will now await the announcement of the bowl game matchups to see if their season will continue.
