NEXT LEVEL: Josue Garcia Signs with Cal State Fullerton
FULLERTON, Calif. - Allan Hancock College catcher, Josue Garcia, has signed on to continue his academic and athletic career at Cal State Fullerton next season.
"I chose California State University - Fullerton because of the loyalty that they showed me throughout the recruiting process and because of the way that I was treated by the coaching staff," Garcia shared. "They made me feel valued from the beginning, and I knew that this would be a place where I could continue to grow, both as a player and a person. It felt like the right fit for me athletically and academically."
Garcia wrapped up a highly decorated junior college campaign in May after completing his second season in a Bulldogs uniform. He headlined the list of AHC award winners after receiving the Big Stick Award, along with First Team All-Conference and Gold Glove recognition in the WSC North. The Pioneer Valley High School alum finished the season with a .361 batting average while totaling 92 bases. He registered 14 doubles, one triple, and five home runs en route to a final tally of 51 RBIs.
"My time at Allan Hancock College helped prepare me for the next level in a lot of ways. It taught me discipline, accountability, and how to compete every day. My coaches and teammates pushed me to improve, on and off the field, and I've grown a lot during my time here. I'm thankful for everything Allan Hancock has done to help me get to this point," Garcia added.
The Titans are a Division I member of the NCAA and compete in the Big West Conference.
