NEXT LEVEL: Hunter Beck Heading to Cal State Bakersfield
BAKERSFIELD, Calif. - Allan Hancock College relief pitcher, Hunter Beck, has signed to continue his academic and athletic career at California State University - Bakersfield next season.
"I chose Cal State Bakersfield because it looks like a great opportunity for me to come in and play. They have a great new coaching staff and new facilities here," Beck shared.
Beck wrapped up his second season with the Bulldogs on the bump this season. The Las Vegas native tallied three wins and eight saves after 23 appearances. He struck out a total of 41 batters while working towards an ERA of 1.73 after 41.2 innings of work. Beck, a First Team All-Conference honoree, closes his junior college career with five wins and 70 strikeouts to his name.
"My time at Hancock helped me do something important - get reps. At the end of the day, having reps is what got me this offer at the next level," Beck added.
Cal State Bakersfield is a Division I member of the NCAA and competes in the Big West Conference.
