NEXT LEVEL: Bolich to Join Cal State San Marcos Roster
SAN MARCOS, Calif. - Allan Hancock College first baseman, Owen Bolich, will continue his academic and athletic career at California State University San Marcos in the spring.
"I chose Cal State San Marcos because they are an up-and-coming university with a baseball program that I'm very excited to be a member of," Bolich stated.
Bolich recently completed his second season on the diamond with the Bulldogs in May. The Bakersfield native was an All-Conference Honorable Mention selection and a Gold Glove recipient at the conclusion of his sophomore campaign after boasting a .292 batting average with 25 RBIs on the year. Bolich finished his career with a nearly spotless fielding record after being charged with just one error on 347 total chances across his two seasons.
"Coming to Allan Hancock gave me my first experience at really being away from home. Coach Stevens and the coaching staff helped me develop as a student-athlete, baseball player, and - more importantly - as a person," Bolich added.
The Cougars are a Division II member of the NCAA and compete in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.
